EMERGENZA FESTIVAL HEAT 1!
22nd of August saw the band heading into the heart of the city for the Emergenza Festival round 1. To perform at the icon metro theater with 6 other local contenders, battling it out for the top 4 spots to advance onto the next round. Vulturous were the first band on. Giving a good impression and going hard from start to finish, with 3 songs that were full of energy. They opened with 'Built for speed', a fast, retro, thrash song that's compacted with adrenaline, forcing you to drive over the speed limit. Their next song 'Slaves to the Shadows' brought a barrel of explosive power. filled with riffs that would make even your grandma get up and headbang. The electrifying song is polished with a mellow mid section that gives you a breath of fresh air before ploughing you back into a final ripping solo and an epic outro. The final song 'immortality is a lie' started with a rumble. The drums building up into oblivion with a power groove drum stomp. followed by the vigorous force of the bass guitar and finally the heavy chug of the down tuned electric guitar. Before the tectonic plates could collide, everything came to a hault. Followed by a barrage of groove. At the end of the night we managed to grab top spot with a total of 59 votes. They were aware they didn't have a lot of support by friends or family that night. But with their raw energy and intense music. The band sees themselves riding into the next round.
